| Registration Open for This Year's Kent State Relay For Life Event
The Kent State University Relay For Life fundraiser will begin at 10 a.m. on April 24 and will end at 10 a.m. on April 25 on the Liquid Crystal Small Group Track on campus. The coordinators are still looking for participants, so interested faculty or staff members are encouraged to join or start a team. Relay For Life events help support the American Cancer Society by bringing communities together to raise funds to support the fight against cancer. Team participants walk or run, being sure to keep at least one team member on the track for the event’s entire 24-hour duration. Kent State has held its own Relay event since 2004. Teams are not exclusive to Kent State affiliates so families, neighbors and friends are invited to participate on a Kent State team. Event coordinators are currently looking for cancer survivors to participate in the opening ceremony. The registration deadline is April 1.
