Job Description:
I provide support for the development and administration of Kent State University grant activity.  I assist faculty and administrators in obtaining and administering grants while complying with university policy and agency regulations.

Employment Prior to Kent State University:
I was previously employed at Youngstown State University where I conducted post-award grant administration within the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) College.

Likes Most About Kent State University:
What I like most about Kent State is the exceptional teamwork and positive attitudes between co-workers and among departments.  It seems that everyone wants to work together in order to achieve common goals.

Attraction to Kent State University as an Employer:
I have been a student at Kent State University at Trumbull for nearly 10 years.  Every person I have had contact with has been very pleasant and helpful.  I wanted to join an environment that fostered that kind of synergy while encouraging both professional and personal growth.

Education:
I will graduate from Kent State University this May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology.  I plan to pursue my master’s degree here at Kent State in the fall.

Hobbies:
I enjoy spending quality time with my fiance and four kids – Kaleigh, Sydney, Taylor and Boden.  In my spare time, I like to write, take nature photographs and ride my Harley.

Job Description:
I currently supervise the midnight shift. I also am an instructor for the ALICE program, ASP Baton, Responding to and Preventing Suicide Bombings, Active Shooter Response and act as a terrorism liaison officer with the Ohio Division of Homeland Security.

United States Marine Corps 

Likes Most About Kent State University:
I enjoy working with students and staff in a learning environment. I also met and fell in love with my wife at Kent.   

Attraction to Kent State University as an Employer:
I appreciate that the university encourages the growth of its employees. Also, the education benefits are excellent and especially attractive now that my children are reaching college age.
