The Provost’s Fellowship is designed to develop faculty leaders by providing opportunities for mid-career and senior faculty to serve half-time for one semester in an administrative role in the Office of the Provost.

 

The purposes of the Provost's Fellowship are to provide faculty members who have an interest in academic administration the chance to develop knowledge, skills and experience as an administrator; to increase the understanding of the faculty about practices and procedures in academic administration; to extend and strengthen the administrative resources of the university; to assist in the development and implementation of projects in current key areas; and to provide ongoing faculty involvement and input into the activities of the Office of the Provost.

Effective fall semester, Professor of Chemical Physics Robin Selinger will join the Office of the Provost part-time for a semester-long appointment. In the spring, Department of Justice Studies Associate Professor Pamela Tontodonato will serve as Provost’s Fellow.

 

Selinger joined Kent State in 2005 as a full professor in the Chemical Physics Interdisciplinary Program. In addition, she serves as the graduate coordinator for the program.

Tontodonato joined Kent State in 1987 and has served as faculty advisor for Undergraduate Studies, acting chair and undergraduate coordinator for justice studies. She is currently associate professor and graduate coordinator for justice studies.
