On Feb 19, the Kent State University Museum will host a lecture by fashion designer Isabel Toledo and her husband, fashion illustrator, painter and sculptor Ruben Toledo. Isabel Toledo gained international fame most recently when first lady Michelle Obama wore one of Toledo’s creations on Inaugural day.

In order to better address the demands of the 21st century, a hard-working committee has been meeting weekly since October in response to the provost’s charge to review the current LER, with the goal of making them less complex and more navigable for students and better articulated with the university’s new 21st-century philosophy statement.
