Columbiana county has often faced economic difficulty, and the current recession is increasing the burden many families face with reduced hours at work, or in many cases, no job at all. With those issues in mind, the communities of East Liverpool and Salem years ago saw the value of supporting Kent State’s Regional Campuses and agreed to fund a site in each city.

Summer Enrollment Jumps by More Than 18 Percent

Kent State University officials today announced an 18.32 percent increase in summer enrollment across the university’s eight-campus system. Total enrollment was measured at 12,424 students for summer session classes in the beginning of summer 2009 semester.

Construction on Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center Continues

The Performing Arts Center construction project at Kent State Tuscarawas continues on schedule. Construction on the center began in October of 2008 and should be completed by the summer of 2010.
