Symposium to Discuss Relationship Between Peace and Democracy

The eighth annual Symposium on Democracy, titled "Democracy and Peace? Historical Links and Implications for World Order," will address the effect of democracy on peace May 2 and 3 at the Kent Campus.

Kent State Police Officer Honored for Saving Neighbor's Life

Kent State University Police Lt. Robert Nation was honored by the city of Ravenna for his actions that helped saved the life of a city resident. At the city's March 5 council meeting, Nation was presented with the Mayor's Public Service Award.

Hyde Park Forum Competition Challenges Student Persuasive Speech Skills

Kent State students will put their persuasive skills to the test at the 2007 Hyde Park Forum March 15 at the Kent Student Center. The competition is sponsored by the School of Communication Studies.

Faculty and Staff Campaign Donor Spotlight: Christian Wilk

Nearly 1,000 faculty and staff members go above and beyond the duties of their job by financially supporting the mission of Kent State University.

Whether making an annual gift, creating an endowed scholarship fund or including Kent State in their will, these donors are making their visions for excellence a reality!

Christian Wilk, general manager for Kent State’s club Ice Hockey program, started an endowment to ensure that his passion and vision for the Ice Hockey program will continue for future generations.
