Kent State Professors Design Costumes for Olympic Dance Team

Three associate professors from Kent State University’s Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising are donating their time to design and create more than 30 costumes for a local dance troupe headed to London for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The Kent/Blossom Music Festival

Each year, string, woodwind, horn and piano students come to Kent State to develop professional skills through intensive study with visiting master artists, members of The Cleveland Orchestra, and university faculty. Rigorous daily coaching and rehearsal schedules culminate in performances on the campus and at Blossom Music Center, where participants also attend open rehearsals and concerts of The Cleveland Orchestra.
