Kent State’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative Receives National Sustainability Award

Kent State University is a lead partner in a collaborative effort to address population decline and large-scale urban vacancy in Cleveland. The initiative Re-imagining a More Sustainable Cleveland has been selected to receive the American Planning Association’s (APA) 2012 National Planning Excellence Award for Innovation in Best Practices for Sustaining Places.

How to Move a House

The former home of May Prentice, Kent State University's first female faculty member, squeezes between two other houses en route to a new location. Its former lot will become part of the Kent State University Esplanade extension, which will connect the university to the city of Kent. The university is preserving the 110-year-old house due to its historical connection to Kent State.

Make Plans Now to Include Children in PEAK Summer Day Camp Fun

This year's PEAK Summer Day Camp staff has set the schedule and is excited about another fun-filled summer for young campers. New this year are additional weeks of themed activities for 6- to 12-year-olds in the camp, and a newly developed Leaders in Training (LIT) program for 13- to 15-year-olds.
