Human Resources Question of the Week: How can I request a review/reclassification of my position?
If you believe your classified or unclassified position has changed substantially, you can request a review by the university through the following process:
Employee:

Call Employee Relations and Development at 330-672-5050 and request the appropriate (either classified or unclassified) Position Description Questionnaire (PDQ).

Complete and sign the PDQ, make a copy for your records and forward to your direct supervisor.
Supervisor:

Review and comment on the information provided, sign and forward it to each level of management, up to and including the executive officer of your division.

Forward completed and signed PDQ to Compensation Office.
Compensation Office:

Conduct an audit and evaluation of the position. This process typically includes gathering additional data necessary to gain a detailed understanding of the position, for example telephone or on-site interviews with the incumbent and supervisor(s).

After consultation with the supervisor, assign position to the most appropriate title/pay grade indicated by the information and statements provided regarding the duties currently performed.
