Celebrating International Women's Day This Week and Beyond…  by Hilda Pettit
The American Association of University Women is a partner on One Shared World, a campaign to raise awareness of our global commonalities and the importance of international development in improving the lives of women. The campaign, which was kicked-off on International Women’s Day this week, was launched through a new Web site with inspiring stories of women’s successful struggles to overcome poverty, illiteracy and disease around the world.

Please visit the American Association of University Women homepage http://www.aauw.org and click on the link to One Shared World to learn more about how women can help tackle global poverty. Also, share this information with colleagues and friends. Because in this world we all share, hope is our common language. One Shared World(sm) is a partnership of the American Association of University Women, American Women in Radio and Television, the National Council of Negro Women, the National Association of Women Business Owners, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the nonprofit Academy for Educational Development.
