How to Move a House
The former home of May Prentice, Kent State University's first female faculty member, squeezes between two other houses en route to a new location. Its former lot will become part of the Kent State University Esplanade extension, which will connect the university to the city of Kent. The university is preserving the 110-year-old house due to its historical connection to Kent State.

Downtown Redevelopment in Kent, Ohio
With more than $100 million in new construction, downtown Kent, Ohio, is currently undergoing a massive redevelopment. Projects in various stages of construction include the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, the Kent Central Gateway, the Kent State University Esplanade Extension, Acorn Alley II and three additional commercial buildings that will house restaurants, stores and offices.
