University Delays, Closings, Communication and Time Reporting

Posted Dec. 1, 2014

As previously communicated by Gregg Floyd, Kent State University’s senior vice president for finance and administration, and Todd Diacon, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, in their FlashLine message of Nov. 17, 2014, the decision to delay or close campuses does not come lightly. In any case, and as evident by the early onset of freezing temperatures and significant snowfall in some Northeast Ohio areas, it is imperative that we plan for such situations.

In an effort to bring together the Winter Weather Advisory information shared by senior vice presidents Floyd and Diacon, along with frequently asked questions that are presented by faculty, staff or supervisors in the event of a delay or closing, the Division of Human Resources has developed a quick reference document. You may want to print or bookmark this document for future use.

For questions related to leave reporting during a delay or campus closure that may not have been specifically addressed in this document, contact Human Resource Records at 330-672-8316 or Payroll at 330-672-8640.
