Posted Oct. 3, 2011Kent State University’s online auction benefiting the United Way of Portage County began Thursday, Sept. 29, and ends Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. If you haven’t already, visit the site to view the auction items that were donated by area businesses and Kent State departments.
Auctioned items include golf packages, Hall of Fame passes, Cleveland Zoo passes, season tickets for Kent State basketball games, fine dining packages, gift baskets and more.
Winning bidders will be contacted via email with instructions on how to collect their items. Payment will be made in cash or check when the item is collected. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Portage County.
Kent State launched its 2011-2012 United Way Campaign “Shared Passion: Giving Where We Live and Work,” with the goal to raise $180,000 to benefit the local community. Kent State employees can support the campaign by making a one-time donation or opting for payroll deductions. Payroll deduction sign-up is now available via FlashLine.
Visit the online auction website to bid on your picks before 3 p.m. on Oct. 4.
