Read e-Inside on Aug. 5 to see more vacation photos.
Elaine Robinson, assistant to the vice president for
institutional advancement, submitted this photo of Ernst
Hemingway’s home, Finca Vigia (Lookout Farm). Robinson
says the house was built in 1886 and has been turned into
a museum. It is very much in the same condition as the
Hemingways left it in 1960. Robinson says she went on a
memorable journey to Cuba while doing research as part of
a Kent State class in June 2012.
Sandra Montgomery, prospect tracking manager with
the Prospect Management and Research office, submitted
this photo that was taken in the Southern Caribbean at a
fishing village on St. Thomas while on her second
honeymoon in 2013.
Joyce Harrison, acquiring editor at the
Kent State University Press, submitted this
photo. Harrison says the photo shows “the
view from our seats at the Orioles-Indians
game, June 26, at Camden Yards!”
Elaine Robinson says this photo was
taken on the grounds of Ernest
Hemingway’s home in San Francisco de
Paula, Cuba.
