“Know Your Numbers” Health Screenings for Faculty and Staff

Posted Nov. 2, 2015

If you missed your chance to "Know Your Numbers" during the Open Enrollment and Wellness Fairs held on each Kent State University campus, you have two more opportunities – Nov. 6 or Dec. 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Register today while appointments are still available.

All full-time, benefits-eligible employees are eligible for a free annual health screening. You do not have to be covered by one of the university health plans. In preparation for the health screening, participants must fast for 8-10 hours before their onsite screening. Please note that the blood draw is via a simple finger stick. Confidential results will be provided for the following:

  • Glucose
  • Total cholesterol, including HDL and LDL
  • Triglycerides
  • Blood pressure
  • Body mass index

Scheduling of your screening appointment must be completed on Be Well Solutions' website at www.bewelldata.com. Be Well is Kent State's wellness partner that provides confidential health screenings and a variety of resources to Kent State employees both onsite and through their secure Web portal. If you are not already registered on Be Well Solutions' website, view the instructions on how to register on the OneWellU website.

All employees who complete the personal health risk assessment (a confidential online assessment on the Be Well Web portal) and screening for the first time will receive a free MOVBand wrist-worn activity tracker. Employees who complete their second annual health screening will receive a free $25 gift card for Dick's Sporting Goods.

If you have questions, contact Kim Hauge, manager, university wellness and healthy campus promotions, at 330-672-7505 or khauge@kent.edu.
