Posted Sept. 28, 2015Kent State University President Beverly Warren launched a new series of town hall meetings to update the university community on the Strategic Visioning Initiatives and the One University Commission.
The Forums for the Future events, which began Sept. 10 at Kent State University at Tuscarawas, will continue with the final faculty and staff forums set for Thursday, Oct. 1, from 2-3 p.m. at the Kent Student Center Ballroom Balcony on the Kent Campus. In addition, the final Regional Campuses’ Forums for the Future events for faculty and staff, and students will be held at Kent State University at Geauga and the Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg on Oct. 26.
Forums for the Future events for Kent Campus students are scheduled for November. The first of four forums for Kent Campus students will be held Nov. 2.
“We are at a defining moment in our history,” Warren says. “With such positive momentum generated in recent years, now is the time to build a bold vision for our best future. The forum series will provide an opportunity to share ideas and will help to create a strategic roadmap for our greatest success.”
Warren will begin each forum with a presentation that includes plans for creating a distinctive Kent State. Audience members will then have an opportunity to ask questions.
In March, Warren formed a Strategic Vision Advisory Committee to help guide the work to shape a vision, core values and university priorities.
