Kent State University students enjoy activities during
Welcome Back Week. During Welcome Back Week, Kent
State students, faculty and staff enjoy a week of Kent
State spirit to start the academic year.

The Kent Student Center, Center for Student Involvement and Intercollegiate Athletics cordially invite students, faculty and staff to enjoy a week of Kent State spirit to start the academic year, from Aug. 31-Sept. 4.

The events are meant to be fun, interactive and casual. Each day will feature some free food and giveaways. In addition, Kent State’s beloved mascot Flash, and some players, coaches and cheerleaders will be there.

Students are encouraged to stop by between classes to meet new people and take part in the excitement of the first week of classes.

All events will take place on Risman Plaza from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with the week culminating on Blue and Gold Friday.

Monday, Aug. 31 — Sundaes and First Day of School Pics
Get some free ice cream on your way to class and stop in the photo booth for your first day of school pic!

Tuesday, Sept. 1 — T-shirts and Nacho Bar
Free Kent State T-shirts for the first 500! Plus, there will be a Kent State-themed nacho bar for a quick snack between classes.

Wednesday, Sept. 2 — Free Cookies and Candy Bar
If you have never had a K cookie, do yourself a favor and stop by for one of these sweet treats or grab something from the candy bar.

Thursday, Sept. 3 — Tailgate Party and T-shirts
Come have lunch on Risman Plaza! We have free hot dogs, chips, and best of all, T-shirts!

Friday, Sept. 4, and every Friday — Blue and Gold Friday
It’s as simple as it sounds — wear something blue and gold each and every Friday. Challenge your friends, professors and colleagues to participate and make Kent State pride and school spirit “what you do.” Click here to find out more about Blue and Gold Friday!
