Learn More about Longterm Care Insurance

Posted Jan. 23, 2012

Faculty and staff are invited to a lunchtime educational seminar on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the Kent Campus to learn more about voluntary longterm care insurance (LTCi).

Longterm care is when you need assistance for an extended period of time with the activities of daily living (e.g. eating, dressing, bathing or walking). These services can be provided in your home, an assisted living facility, a nursing home, hospice facility or an adult day center.

The seminar is sponsored by Legacy Services and will provide information on what an LTCi policy pays for, who should purchase LTCi, how to select the right insurance company and how Ohio’s Longterm Care Partnership program can provide you with dollar-for-dollar asset protection.

There will be two seminars offered on Jan. 31 in Room 318 of the Kent Student Center. The sessions will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and from 12:30–1:15 p.m.

Lunch will be provided and an RSVP is required. To reserve a seat, contact Legacy Services at 800-230-3398, ext. 101 or custsvc@4groupltci.com.
