Posted March 11, 2013Students who desire careers in artistic areas are now able to earn a four-year degree in fine arts from Kent State University at Stark. The Bachelor of Arts in fine arts has been added as the 18th baccalaureate degree offered in its entirety at Kent State Stark.
The new fine arts degree is for students who do not necessarily wish to pursue art as a profession, but desire a solid foundation and breadth in the visual arts within a liberal arts curriculum. Students electing the studio art concentration may range broadly among painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking courses, with additional art electives rounding out the degree program.
Kent State Stark offers opportunities for students to explore and experience the fine arts through on-campus art exhibitions, student publications and creative community projects, among others.
