Posted Oct. 19, 2015

As a federal contractor, Kent State University’s Office of Compliance, Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action and the Talent Acquisition Office need your support in aligning with new federal regulations.

All new hires and current employees are required to verify and/or update their race, ethnicity, veteran and disability statuses by Nov. 1, 2015. To verify or update your information, please use the steps listed below:

Log in to FlashLine, click on the My HR tab within the Employment Details box and select the Personal Information link. Once on the Personal Information page, you are able to view and complete all three statuses: race/ethnicity, disability and veteran self-identification information. Please complete the following:

  1. View/Update Veterans Classification
  2. View/Update Disability Status
  3. View/Update Ethnicity and Race

This process is voluntary; however, we encourage all employees to participate before Nov. 1. This information is gathered for federal statistical data reporting and is not used in any employment-related decision making.
