Posted Sept. 7, 2015New television spots, billboards and online ads for Kent State University began appearing on Sept. 7 as the university initiated its traditional fall campaign to support enrollment goals and awareness initiatives for 2016-17. This vibrant “Visit Kent State” mini-campaign will appear in Northeast Ohio, Toledo, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Erie, Buffalo and Rochester. The new campaign is aimed at driving prospective students and parents to schedule a visit to campus.
“Unless someone has recently visited the Kent Campus, they can’t really appreciate what it means to be part of our campus community,” says Iris Harvey, vice president for university relations at Kent State. “This campaign is designed to excite and delight prospective students and their families. We want anyone considering where to go to college to believe they will miss out on a marvelous experience if they don’t personally visit. The media support for the campaign — whether on air or online, will make Kent State almost inescapable during the upcoming recruitment period.”
The “Visit Kent State” campaign represents a fully integrated, multiple-platform effort that includes network and cable TV, outdoor, digital ads and platforms such as Pandora and Spotify. The campaign also includes interactive social media efforts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. In fact, prospective students can learn how they see themselves by engaging on Instagram through #HowDoYouSeeYourself.
