Kent State Golden Flashes Football Schedule Announced

The Mid-American Conference has announced an updated version of the 2015 football schedule with additional kick times and television. Five of Kent State University’s games have been given kick times, while all remaining times and television will be announced 12 days prior to the scheduled games.

The Golden Flashes open their season Friday, Sept. 4, at Illinois with a 9 p.m. (Eastern) kickoff on Big Ten Network.

Kent State’s home opener on Parents’ Day will be Saturday, Sept. 12, against Delaware State. The 6 p.m. start can be seen on ESPN3.

Three of the Golden Flashes’ midweek games in November also will get national exposure. On Thursday, Nov. 5, Dix Stadium will play host to a MAC East battle with Buffalo at 7:30 p.m., which will be shown on either CBS Sports Network or ESPN 3. Five days later (Tuesday, Nov. 10), Kent State will be in Athens, taking on Ohio at 8 p.m., on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

On Wednesday, Oct. 18, Kent State will close out its six-game home slate against Central Michigan with an 8 p.m. kick on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

October games against Miami, Toledo and UMass are all part of the MAC’s 12-day TV selection option.

The 19th Marathon MAC Football Championship game will be Friday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m., at Ford Field in Detroit on ESPN2.

The MAC bowl schedule begins Saturday, Dec. 19, with the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. The conference has agreements with five bowls and a secondary agreement with the Poinsettia Bowl, backing up Army.
