Attend Homecoming for the MAC Championship Rematch
Attend Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 5, to watch a MAC Championship rematch as the Kent State University Golden Flashes take on the Northern Illinois Huskies. The Homecoming game will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. at Dix Stadium. While the Golden Flashes fell 44-37 in double overtime to the Huskies during the MAC Championship last November, plan to cheer them on to a Homecoming victory.
Prior to the game, faculty, staff, students and alumni will have many activities to enjoy, including the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Kiss on the K, the Homecoming parade, tours of downtown aboard Lolly the Trolley and more! The Sounds of Summer Live Music Concert Series Takes Place Aug. 17
The Kent State University Undergraduate Student Government invites all students, faculty, staff and their families to attend the last concert in the Sounds of Summer Live Music Concert Series on Aug. 17 on the Student Green. The event will begin at 6 p.m., with the music beginning at 7 p.m.
Danjo Jazz/Rock Orchestra and Hard2Handle will perform at the concert, and food and beverages will be available. There is no entrance fee for the event.
The concert series was created this year by the Kent State Undergraduate Student Government to help promote the Student Green.
“The green is such a beautiful space, and the small stage is perfect for small outdoor musical performances,” says Quintin Steele, creative director for the Kent State Undergraduate Student Government.
