Everyone at Kent State has been most welcoming and has offered some great advice about winter in Northeast Ohio! I also really like the lakeside location of the Ashtabula campus where I work.

I really like that Kent State is a growing university in a time when so many other schools are cutting back. It speaks well of the university’s leadership, faculty and staff, students and the surrounding community.

It was close to my extended family, to be honest. But the English department was also building a writing program and that fit one of my career interests.
