Job Description:

As an academic advisor and internship coordinator, I provide support and resources that help to foster the professional and personal growth of undergraduate psychology students, thus enhancing their overall academic experiences at Kent State. Specifically, I review transcripts and suggest courses that align with interests and university requirements, discuss and explore career goals, design and implement relevant events and programs, collaborate with on-campus community members, and network with local agencies and organizations in order to increase student internship opportunities.

I have been most impressed by the friendliness of all campus community members, which has enabled me to adjust to campus and feel welcomed.

Attraction to Kent State University as an Employer:

I was attracted by the changes occurring on campus and in the town of Kent. It demonstrated a focus on increasing a better relationship with the town and the campus, as well as a priority to be a progressive, innovative institution.

I was a student at Kent State and was a work-study student in the Student Financial Aid Office.

Likes Most About Kent State University:

It is hard to pick just one thing as I like the physical aspect of the campus, the landscaping, etc. I also enjoy working with the employees that make up the Kent State family.

Attraction to Kent State University as an Employer:

After graduating from Kent State, the attraction was a full-time job with benefits; something I had not had for over a decade.
