Likes Most About Kent State University:

I truly like so much about Kent State University. The people I work with on a regular basis – students and colleagues alike – have been great! I am particularly impressed with how supportive the folks at Kent State are when it comes to the profession of academic advising. Within the first two weeks on the job, I attended meetings where either the president or provost stopped in to express their appreciation and gratitude for the work of academic advisors, as well as the recent accomplishments attained by my colleagues in the University College. Having upper administration personally acknowledge the hard work that people in my field perform on a day-to-day basis was very reassuring. I also appreciate how proactive this institution is in terms of meeting the needs of its students. I truly feel that Kent State has diligently strived to develop an impeccably strong academic advising model, one in which I feel other institutions will soon desire to emulate.

Attraction to Kent State University as an Employer:

I had several colleagues who worked at Kent State before I was offered my position. When engaging in conversations with them, I always took notice of how satisfied they were with their experience at Kent State. I had hoped that I would secure full-time employment at this institution, and I’m very fortunate and blessed to join the Kent State community.
