HR Question of the week

Does Kent State University Offer a Weight Watchers Program?

Kent State University offers a Weight Watchers at Work program to faculty, staff and students on all campuses and community locations. Effective January 2012, a new monthly pass program was introduced to include the Points Plus program and e-tools to make losing weight easier while still enjoying many of the foods you like to eat. The new program allows members the flexibility and convenience to attend a Weight Watchers at Work meeting or a meeting in their community. Members can also download the Weight Watchers mobile application on their smart phones at no charge. This is a great way to stay on task and reach goals.

The Weight Watchers at Work program is currently offered on the Kent Campus, on Tuesdays at noon in the Kent Student Center.

An incentive program is also available for employees who have medical coverage through Medical Mutual of Ohio and sign up for the monthly pass program. Members are eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $150 per calendar year. There is no reimbursement for the online program.

For more information about the Weight Watchers at Work program, visit www.kent.edu/hr/benefits/weight-watchers.cfm or contact Marlo Kibler, benefits coordinator, at 330-672-8320 or mkibler5@kent.edu.
