Is the Field House open to employees and the community for walking?

If you like to walk and are looking for an indoor location on campus, check out the Field House on Summit Street (adjacent to Dix Stadium).

The walking track at the Field House is open weekdays during the Fall and Spring semesters for use by faculty, staff and the community.

During the day, the track is open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday through Friday. In the evenings, walkers can use the Field House track from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Times are subject to change based on other Field House activities.

There is a charge to use the Field House track and a discount for faculty and staff. The rates are:

• Kent State employees, Kent State alumni, Golden Flash Club members - $35/semester, or $60/year.
• Kent State retirees - $20/semester or $35/year.
• Public - $60/semester or $110/year.
• Daily pass - $4
  

The yearly pass should be purchased at the beginning of the academic year and lasts until the end of Spring Semester.
