In the event of severe weather, how do I find out about cancellations/closings?

In the event of inclement weather, there are three ways of learning about delays, class cancellations and/or campus closings:

• The first is Kent State's Advisory webpage located at www.kent.edu/advisory. This page lists any closings across Kent State's eight campuses.
  
  
• The second is through television and radio broadcasts. For a complete listing of all of the television and radio stations to which cancellation information is reported, please visit this link.
  
  
• The third method is through the general Flash ALERTS text message and FlashLine e-mail. The Flash ALERTS text message will alert subscribers to check the university's Advisory webpage for up-to-the-minute reports on campus and class status. Individuals can subscribe to the Flash ALERTS service online at www.kent.edu/flashalerts.
