HR Question of the Week

HR Question of the week

Can faculty and staff use the services at the DeWeese Health Center (University Health Services)?

Yes. University Health Services provides non-emergency outpatient care to students, faculty and staff. The services provided to employees are similar to those offered at a medical center or primary physician office and include: examination and treatment for illnesses and minor injuries, immunizations, health screenings, workers’ compensation injuries, X-ray and lab services, physical therapy, health education and an on-site pharmacy. University Health Services accepts most major medical insurance providers, including Medical Mutual of Ohio and Anthem. Discounted, self-pay rates are also available.

All University Health Services’ doctors and staff members are licensed or board-certified. Same-day appointments and online scheduling are available.

For more information, read the March 12 e-Inside article or visit the University Health Services website at www.kent.edu/uhs/employeehealth.

If you have a suggestion for a future HR Question, please send it to hrweb@kent.edu.
