Does Kent State offer a Weight Watchers at Work program?
Kent State University is proud to offer Weight Watchers at Work to its faculty and staff. The Weight Watcher’s program has earned the top spot for the Best Weight Loss Diet by U.S. News & World Report for a fourth consecutive year.
Kent State employees have the option of two discounted weight-loss programs:
- The first option is a monthly pass for Weight Watchers meetings. This option gives faculty and staff a chance to try the program without making a lengthy commitment. In this program, you can either attend “at work” meetings or a meeting held within your community.
- The second weight loss option is the Weight Watchers online program. The online program is tailored to the employee’s schedule, allowing employees to choose his/her own pace for the program.
The At Work program meets Tuesdays at noon in Heer Hall at 635 Loop Road (across from the Ice Arena). With the new payment offerings, the At Work sessions run continually with no end date. However, a minimum of 20 members must be enrolled for each class session.
An incentive program is available for employees who have medical coverage through Medical Mutual of Ohio and sign up for the monthly pass program. Members are eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $150 per calendar year. There is no reimbursement for the online program.
