Does Kent State provide free antivirus software for my personal computer?

Yes. Microsoft Security Essentials is available for free from Microsoft and is the recommended antivirus software by both Information Services and The Tech Spot at Kent State University. Security Essentials is available as a free download for personal Windows computers from the Online Support Center at http://support.kent.edu .

Security Essentials recently received VB100 certification from Virus Bulletin, awarded to the most effective antivirus solutions.

If you need help downloading or installing Microsoft Security Essentials, visit The Tech Spot offices in the Tri-Towers Rotunda, or its website at http://techspot.kent.edu or go to the Information Services Walk-Up Desk located on the first floor of the Kent Library.
