Where can I find information on the proposed state pension reform legislation?

In May, the Ohio Senate passed pension reform bills for the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) and the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS). Both pieces of legislation have now moved on to the Ohio House of Representatives for action later this year.

Information on the proposed changes to both retirement systems may be found online at www.kent.edu/hr/benefits/announcements-in-benefits.cfm. On this page, you will find links to the OPERS and STRS websites, summaries of the legislation and details on the Town Hall Meetings and Retirement Education Fairs that OPERS is sponsoring across the state.
