How do I connect my laptop or mobile device to Kent State's secure wireless network?

Follow these easy steps and soon you'll have your laptop or mobile device connected to FlashZone-WPA, Kent State's high-speed and secure wireless network.

First, be sure to change your password at least once at http://flashword.kent.edu. This is important because the default password you received from the university will not allow you to access FlashZone. If you need help changing your password, visit the online support center at support.kent.edu.

After you have changed your password, temporarily connect your laptop to the Kent State Guest wireless network and navigate to http://support.kent.edu. Click on the "Downloads" section and download the "XpressConnect Utility" for your operating system. This tool will connect you to the network using your FlashLine ID and password. After completing this one-time setup, FlashZone-WPA will connect automatically in the future. If at any point you need help, visit http://support.kent.edu.

If you are connecting with a mobile device other than your laptop, such as an iPhone, iPad or Android, please visit http://support.kent.edu and search "flashzone mobile" for instructions.
