Is there an employee discount for joining a fitness club?

Kent State employees who have health care coverage with Medical Mutual of Ohio are eligible for discounts to select fitness clubs and programs.

Employees can join Curves for a $19 enrollment fee, which is a $130 savings off the regular enrollment rate. The discount applies to new memberships purchased from now through June 30, 2012.

Medical Mutual also offers reduced rates on standard enrollment and monthly dues at Anytime Fitness locations. Other discounts available to Medical Mutual customers include half-off the start-up fee at any FitWorks fitness center and free enrollment at Snap Fitness facilities.

Information on how to obtain the discounts is available at MedMutual.com. Log in to My Health Plan, click on Health and Wellness, and then look for Fitness.
