Nicole Bissessar, Ph.D., Department of Economics, Kent State University at Ashtabula, presented "Can Advanced Countries Stimulate Growth by Following Emerging and Developing Economies?" at the 71st International Atlantic Economic Conference, Athens, Greece, March 16-19, 2011.

Richard Feinberg, Department of Anthropology, and Alex Mawyer co-organized and co-chaired an invited session titled "Spatial Representation, Orientation and Circulation" at the 2010 annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association in New Orleans, La., Nov. 17-21, 2010.

Frank Lambert, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, presented a refereed paper Web Searching to Meet Everyday Information Needs: A Comparative Longitudinal Study of Queries Submitted to an Online Community Information System at the Community Informatics Research Network-Direct Implications of Advanced Computing conferencein Prato, Italy, in October 2010. The conference was sponsored by The Centre for Community Networking Research, Monash University, Australia, in conjunction with the Community Informatics Research Network, and featured presenters from around the globe. Lambert's paper also will be published in the conference's proceedings. In addition to participating as a presenter and author, Lambert also served as a session chair.
