Professional Activities

Tim Rasinski, Ph.D., School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies, presented "From Phonics to Fluency to Proficient Reading" at Longwood University's Summer Literacy Institute, Farmville, Va., July 15-16, 2010.

Margaret Rateau, MSN, RN, College of Nursing , Kent State University at East Liverpool, presented "Using an Internet Protocol to Gather Stories for Qualitative Research with Individuals Living Through Health Challenges" at the 24th annual Southern Nursing Research Society Conference in Austin, Texas, February 2010.

Peter C. Kratcoski, Department of Justice Studies, served as official recorder of the conference and made a summary presentation of the conference proceedings. Kratcoski also co-authored the chapter, "Policing Without Borders: An Overview," Policing Without Borders: The Fading Distinction Between Local and Global, Cliff Roberson, Dilip K. Das and Jennie K. Singer, (2010): pp. 1-30.

Phillip Buntin, Department of Art, Kent State University at Trumbull, is currently on display at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at The University of Georgia. The "Re: mark" exhibit will run through Sept. 17, 2010, and is billed as a drawing invitational.

Steven R. Brown, Department of Political Science, chaired a panel on Reintroducing Q Methodology at the 33rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Political Psychology, July 7-10, 2010 San Francisco, Calif.
