Jerry Feezel, School of Communication Studies, chaired the workshop "Ventures in Communication: Mentoring Graduate Student Success” at the Ohio Communication Association Annual Conference in Kent, Ohio, on Oct. 5-6, 2012.
Maja Bajac-Carter, School of Communication Studies, chaired the session "Rituals, Artifacts, Anthems and Architect: How Media Affects People” at the Ohio Communication Association Annual Conference in Kent, Ohio, on Oct. 5-6, 2012.
Norma Jones, School of Communication Studies, chaired the discussion "Crisis in the Classroom: Public Relations and Bullying in Secondary and Post-Secondary Settings” at the Ohio Communication Association Annual Conference in Kent, Ohio, on Oct. 5-6, 2012.
Denise Seachrist, Office of the Provost, and School of Music, has been elected to a two-year term as vice president of the Communal Studies Association (CSA). The CSA is a multidisciplinary scholarly association whose mission is to provide a forum for the study of intentional communities, past and present.
Joel Nielsen, Intercollegiate Athletics, was honored by Minnesota State University, Mankato, on April 13, 2012, as the recipient of the school's Distinguished Alumni Award during the annual Cambria Sports Management Dinner of Distinction.

Summary: Dr. Brodie talks about cooking with children and lists a number of picture books related to same subject.
