Steven R. Brown, Department of Political Science, presented a workshop titled, "Fundamentals of Q Methodology" at the 33rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Political Psychology, July 7-10, 2010 San Francisco, Calif.
D. Ray Heisey, School of Communications Studies, presented a keynote address, "Intercultural communication in its International Context" at the Shanghai Symposium on Disciplinary Development at the Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai, China, June 11-14, 2010.
Chris Cooper and Roy Messing, Department of Political Science, both earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) credential from the Exit Planning Institute after successfully completing the CEPA examination that was administered on May 7, 2010 Cooper and Messing join more than 125 others worldwide with the same credential.
John Logue, founder of Kent State's Ohio Employee Ownership Center who died in Decemeber 2009), posthumously received an award for his lifetime of work in organizing and promoting cooperatives. The Association of Cooperative Educators presented the award at their annual conference, the ACE Institute, in Cleveland on July 27-30, 2010. The award will be hereafter known as the John Logue ACE Award.
Richard Feinberg, Department of Anthropology, Mysteries of Navigation in the Southeastern Solomons. Paper presented to session on "Spatial Representation and Spatial Orientation," organized and chaired by Feinberg, at the annual meeting of the Central States Anthropological Society, April 7-11, 2010.
