Professional Activities

E. Thomas Dowd, Department of Psychology, presented an in-vivo clinical case demonstration at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Nov. 10, 2011.

Steven Brown, Department of Political Science, presented “Q Methodology Workshop” at the Alberta Environment and the Department of Renewable Resources at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, in June 14-15, 2011.

Santokh Tandon, Department of Chemistry, was presented an Award of Honour by the Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College in Dinanagar, India. October 2011.

Douglas Sanderson, School of Art, is showcasing his latest work on the second floor of the Richard E. Jacobs Health Center. The Flower of Life series of six paintings uses geometry that has a historic motif with colors based on chakra energy, which represent different parts of the body.

Phillip Buntin, Kent State University at Trumbull, is featured in the latest issue of Renaissance, a new magazine published by Marriott Hotels and featured in all Renaissance Hotels by Marriott throughout the United States.

In the current issue, Buntin's art is featured as part of a piece on the rise of Atlanta's Westside, which, according to the magazine, has recently become that city's "go-to" scene for the most provocative and cutting-edge artists and galleries.

Buntin's work was on display as part of his residency at the {Poem} 88 Gallery of Atlanta from Aug. 3-31, 2011.
