Denise Bedford, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, presented “Automated Metadata Generation and the Critical Role of Catalogers and Indexers in Technical Services of the Future,” at the Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians 2011 conference "Technical Services Renaissance,” in Oxford, Ohio, May 15-17, 2011.
Rosemary Du Mont, Ph.D., presented "An Assessment of She Who Is: The Mystery of God in Feminist Theology Discourse” by Elizabeth A. Johnson: A Bibliometric Exploration of Knowledge Diffusion" at the “Second International Conference on Religion and Spirituality in Society” in Vancouver, Canada, Feb. 20-22, 2012.
Dr. Kathy Rawson, Department of Psychology, received the Young Alumni Award from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro on May 20, 2011. The award recognizes exceptional achievement and significant contribution to the recipient's profession or community, society or the university. In 2010, Rawson received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the government for scientists at the beginning of their careers.
