Barbara Hipsman, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, was inducted Nov. 15 into the Bill Miller Public Affairs Reporting Hall of Fame at the University of Illinois at Springfield for her distinguished work in the field of journalism.
Denise Bedford, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, was on the "Knowledge Organization: Evaluating Foundation and Function in the Information Ecosystem" and "Role of Online Communities in Recent Responses to Disasters - Tsunami, China, Haiti and Katrina" panels at the American Society for Information Science and Technology held in Pittsburgh, Pa, on Oct. 22-27, 2010.
Michael Kalinski, School of Health Science, presented "Cellular Mechanisms of Muscle Injury During Exercise" at the 14th Commonwealth International Sports Sciences Congress held in Faridabad, India, Sept. 27-30, 2010.
