UNC Researcher Presents at Kent State’s Public Health Speaker Series, Oct. 26

Kent State University’s College of Public Health presents the first speaker in its Public Health Speaker Series this fall semester. Dr. Edward Baker, research professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health, will present “Managing the Public Health Enterprise: Preparing the Workforce for Change” at the Moulton Hall Ballroom on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at noon. The event is free and open to the public.

Baker’s research interests range from occupational diseases to administration issues in public health. The majority of his research highlights the significance of developing and investing in the public health infrastructure. Baker will be visiting Kent State to speak about the importance of having a flexible public health workforce ready to embrace changes that come along with the different public health issues.
