Rainbow Warriors to lecture, perform classic rock at Kent State University, Feb. 10
Posted Feb. 2, 2011The collective of classic rockers known as the Rainbow Warriors will make its way to Kent State University to share personal stories on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. The lecture and performance will be held in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.
Slick Aguilar of Jefferson Starship and KC and the Sunshine Band, Gary Duncan of Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jerry Miller of Moby Grape and Tom Constanten of the Grateful Dead will each give small talks about their musical evolution. Rock photographer and historian Don Aters will also speak about his experiences with photography.
Following the lectures the audience will be treated to a performance by the musicians featuring local backing players Joe Vitale Jr. and Dreadlock Dave MacDougald. Performers will be available afterwards for a meet and greet and photo opportunities.
Admission to this show is free for Kent State students, and $10 for the general public.
