NEW LIQUID CRYSTAL-BASED TECHNOLOGY THAT RAPIDLY DETECTS MULTIPLE PATHOGENS IN FOOD TO BE INTRODUCED
Crystal Diagnostics unveils unique food-safety testing system using technology invented at Kent State and NEOMED
WHAT:
Each year, food-borne pathogens cause an estimated 48 million illnesses (affecting one in six people), 128,000 hospitalizations and 3,000 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On Oct. 26, Crystal Diagnostics will introduce a new technology using liquid crystals to detect multiple harmful pathogens in food in a single test.
