Sept. 21, 2009 - AlphaMicron's Grand Opening
AlphaMicron's new Centennial Research Park facility opens with special guests Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and Congressman Tim Ryan in attendance. AlphaMicron, Inc was founded in 1997 by three faculty members from Kent State University's Liquid Crystal Institute and has grown to employ over 40 people. Many of AlphaMicron's products, which include motorcycle helmets, windows and ski goggles, use liquid crystal technology to electronically control translucence.
