International Perspective on Decorative Lights

Dec. 7, 2009 Diwali is one of the biggest festivals of Hindus, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness in India. The festival is celebrated for five continuous days, where the third day is celebrated as the "Festival of Lights." On this day, people light up diyas and candles all around their house. The festival of Diwali includes an exchange of gifts among family members. The Festival of Lights at Kent State was sponsored by the Indian Student Association.
