Kent State University’s Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and its Upward Bound Programs participated in Inspiration Day on Saturday, Nov. 3. Planned by Kent State’s Intercollegiate Athletics Department, Inspiration Day included events and activities for Upward Bound students and their families at numerous buildings across campus.

Kent State University’s College of Nursing has been selected as a recipient of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Innovations in Professional Nursing Education Award. The awards program recognizes the outstanding work of AACN member schools to re-envision traditional models for nursing education and lead programmatic change.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Student Green at Kent State University was held Oct. 18. The event celebrated Kent State’s commitment to provide outdoor programming space to student organizations on campus. The event, which was free and open to the public, took place at the new space in the Kent Student Center area, located at the heart of the campus.
Kent State University’s Homecoming took place Saturday, Oct. 20. Sponsored by the Kent State University Alumni Association, the day was filled with tradition and exciting activities. One highlight includes The Golden Flashes win over the Western Michigan Broncos, 41-24.
New center tells the May 4 story, set against the political and cultural changes of the 1960s
Kent State University officially opened its much-anticipated May 4 Visitors Center on Saturday, Oct. 20, as part of the university’s Homecoming celebration. The public was invited to experience the center’s dramatic exhibits at an open house from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
New commercials for Kent State University are now airing as the university debuts a new television campaign. The new campaign builds on the university’s successful “Experience for Life” series that launched September 2010.
