Parents’ and Family Day:
Saturday, Sept. 24
This year, parents and families of Kent State University students are invited to take part in a day of fun and football as the university presents Parents’ and Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Events and activities begin at 9 a.m. with Portage Park 'N Roll at Dix Stadium. Skaters will circle the campus for six miles then return to the stadium. Find more info at: http://www.portageskates.info.
Parents, families and students are encouraged to cheer on the Golden Flashes as they play against South Alabama in a 3:30 p.m. game.
Other events include:
- Math Emporium and Friends Open House (10 a.m-1 p.m., University Library)
- Alumni Relations Legacy Breakfast (10 a.m.-11:30 a.m., 204 Kent Student Center
- Golden Flash Football and Barbecue Tailgate (Noon-3 p.m., Dix Stadium)
- Car Show (6 p.m.-8 p.m., Kent Student Center)
- Kent Student Programming Real Late Reels "Cars 2" (8 p.m. and 11 p.m., Kiva)
- Recreation and Wellness Center "Open House" (8 a.m-10 p.m., Student Recreation and Wellness Center)
