Kent State Beats Central Michigan in Game

Kent State University returned to Dix Stadium for its second game in seven days to beat Central Michigan 24-21 during a nationally televised event on ESPN2 on Friday, Nov. 4.

It is still anyone’s game in a tight Mid-American Conference East Division race as Kent State entered this weekend as one of five teams separated by just one game in the loss column with four conference games remaining on the schedule. The Golden Flashes have found success at home, now owning a 7-4 record at Dix Stadium since the beginning of the 2010 season.

The excitement of the nationally televised game started at 5:30 p.m. with the Kent State Fan Experience in the Kent State Field House. Highlighting the fun and activities for all ages at this week’s Fan Experience was an appearance by the 2010 and 2011 MAC Regular Season Champion men’s basketball team. The basketball team was on hand signing autographs. The ever-popular student tailgate zone,  featured live music, cornhole games, and food and beverages

Student admission was free, and those looking to catch a ride to the game can meet at the “K” in Risman Plaza to ride the shuttle bus to Dix Stadium.
